Twin Falls Territorial Park

General Information

One of the icons of the NWT Parks, Twin Falls Territorial Park is a "must visit" destination for any nature buff. Bounded by the Mackenzie Highway and the Hay River, a scenic walking trail links the park's three distinct areas: the Alexandra Falls Day Use Area, Louise Falls Campground & Day Use Area, and the Escarpment Creek Group Campsite.

The park is located on NWT Highway 1, 74.6km from the NWT/Alberta border. The park is just outside the Hamlet of Enterprise and is approximately 50 km south of Hay River.

Park Highlights

Twin Falls Territorial Park is one of the most iconic parks in the territory, home to the breathtaking Alexandra and Louise Falls. Both waterfalls are easily accessible via a network of scenic trails that follow the Hay River. Look out for interpretive displays along the trail provide historical information about the area.

Unfortunately, this park is not wheelchair accessible currently.

Nearby Attractions
Perhaps the best beach in the North, the Hay River Beach is mi of sandy dunes stretching along the shores of Great Slave Lake.
Make time on your Saturday to visit the Fisherman's Wharf, a market filled with local goods and crafts. It's open from 10 am - 2 pm on Saturdays during the summer.
