Commercial use and special events

Protecting our parks' natural beauty and its wild inhabitants and preserving them for future generations is of the utmost importance. This is why we regulate and require advance permits for certain activities.

Please apply for a commercial or special event permit well in advance (up to a year), as the review timeline varies depending on the timing of the submission. These permits cannot be obtained 'on-the-spot' at the park.

Commercial use fees

A commercial use permit is required to operate a business, commercial enterprise, industrial or scientific activity, guiding services, or outfitting services within a territorial park. The permit costs $200 and if construction activity (e.g. signs, structures) is required, an additional fee of $100 is applicable.

All fees and projected costs must be paid once the application is approved, prior to park use.

Get more information or submit an application for a commercial use permit on our website.

Special event fees

Groups, organizations, or business who want to host an event in a public area of a park or in a day use area may require a special events permit which costs $200.
If your event is likely to affect the normal use and enjoyment of the park by others, you'll need a special event permit.

All fees and projected costs must be paid once the application is approved, prior to your event.

For more information or to request a special event permit, visit the Special events page on our website.
