Accessibility in NWT Parks
At NWT Parks, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy our natural spaces. We are dedicated to removing barriers to ensure our parks are accessible and welcoming for all, including those living with disabilities.
Our diverse offerings—trails, campgrounds, visitor centres, waterways, viewing areas, and day-use parks—are continuously being improved to enhance accessibility. We are committed to improving access for more people when we undertake upgrades of facilities and amenities. As we replace and improve park areas and infrastructure, such as washrooms and playgrounds, we prioritize accessibility in our designs.
