NWT Parks are extending the camping season at most Territorial Park campgrounds to the end of September. See the detailed listing below:

July 29, 2020

In response to COVID 19, NWT public health officials have limited the Fred Henne beach capacity to 150 visitors to avoid crowding (the count includes only people over the age of 12). With all of the nice weather ahead, we expect Fred Henne Beach will fill up during peak times.

June 08, 2020

To prevent the spread of COVID-19 those who do not have an exemption under the public health order, or have not been granted one for exceptional circumstances, are not allowed to travel within the Northwest Territories.

September 03, 2020

Beach go-ers in Hay River are advised that use and access to the beach at Hay River’s Territorial Park is limited. A recent storm has pushed driftwood well up onto the beach while sections of the beach are also under construction. Please use caution.

September 03, 2020

Please be advised that the water levels at Sambaa Deh Falls are extremely high and the river banks are slippery. Visitors are urged to maintain a distance from the water and to exercise extra caution when viewing the falls and the river.

June 08, 2020

Territorial Park Campgrounds are open June 12th, 2020; campsite check in time at the park will begin at 5:00pm on opening day.
