Fred Henne Territorial Park – National Indigenous Peoples Day Celebrations
Join us at Fred Henne territorial park for an afternoon of activities celebrating Indigenous culture, traditions, and knowledge!
This event features hands-on activities inspired by the Dechı̨ta Náıdı́: Medicine from the Land Activity Book (by Cathy Modeste-Short):
- Decorate your own foraging bag to take home
- Learn about local plants and their uses
- Engage in Indigenous language activities
Enjoy traditional foods like pre-made bannock, bannock-on-a-stick kits for families to cook together, and locally harvested berry jams. All are welcome, stop by the day use area to participate! Supplies are limited, so activities will be offered while they last.
