General Information

North Arm Territorial Park is located on NWT Highway 3 (km 232), west of Behchokǫ̀. Situated on the picturesque shores of Great Slave Lake, the park offers a campground with 15 campsites, and a quaint day use area a short drive away. Enjoy the beautiful lake views from the shore, swimming, playground, and picnic shelter for gatherings.

Nearby Attractions
Nearby Behchokǫ̀ is the largest Dene community in the NWT. Traditional handmade products from local artists and crafts-people are available for sale in the community.

Just an hour and a half drive away, Yellowknife is the capital city of the NWT. Make the short stroll from downtown Yellowknife to the Old Town, billed as Canada's Weirdest Neighbourhood. A mish-mash of mansions, houseboats, and historic shacks are home to shops, galleries, restaurants, and festivals.

Safety information
Bison are commonly seen along Highway 3 and do sometimes enter the park. Please be alert to your surroundings and try to stay at least 100 metres away from any bison you encounter and avoid startling or agitating them. If you find yourself too close to a bison, do not run. Instead, back away slowly. Find more info on safety in bison country.
