Hamlet of Kakisa. The smallest town in the NWT, the 40-person Hamlet of Kakisa is less than 1 km away from the Park. There is a gas station, but no grocery store. The closest grocery store is 50 minutes away in Fort Providence.

Park Highlights

Kakisa River is a popular spot to fish for Arctic grayling, as it is one of the favourite spawning tributaries.
Hike from the park to where the Kakisa River drops off into the Lady Evelyn Falls in the Lady Evelyn Territorial Park.
