Parks Day is a celebration held each July to recognize the important role parks play in preserving natural landscapes, supporting wellbeing, and connecting people to the land. It’s a time to come together and enjoy the outdoors, learn something new, and celebrate the beauty and culture found across Canada’s park system.
Come enjoy door prizes, swag, a bouncy castle, rock and face-painting, a scavenger hunt, and more kids’ games!
We’ve got something for everyone:
🍔 Free BBQ & Cake – Provided by The Yamouri Inn 🎣 Great Bear Lake Trout Fish Fry – Provided by GNWT 🍿 Popcorn & Cotton Candy – Provided by The Town of Norman Wells 🧵 Cultural Workshop – Hosted by the Museum 🏐 Co-ed Volleyball (Ages 16+) – Hosted by Alexis Peachy (Register at the park)
Free and open to all! Bring your friends, family, and love for the outdoors — and help us celebrate everything that makes parks special.
