Powder Point Territorial Park Day Use Area

General Information

Powder Point Day Use Area is located next to Hidden Lake Territorial Park on the eastern arm of Prelude Lake. Powder Point is a popular jumping off point for canoe routes in the area and overnight parking is permitted to access backcountry camping in Hidden Lake Territorial Park. Explore the Ingraham Trail Canoe Routes here

The Ingraham Trail Road Trip begins in Yellowknife and extends 70 km/43.5 mi along NWT Highway 4 to Tibbitt Lake. Lakes, campgrounds, picnic sites, and boat launches dot this beautiful drive which winds through an unforgettable Precambrian landscape of lakes, forests, and ancient rocks. A variety of outdoor recreation opportunities are available on the Ingraham Trail, including hiking trails, canoeing, boating, swimming, camping, fishing, and birdwatching.
