Cooking bannock over a campfire

Parks Day is celebrated every year on the third Saturday of July at participating parks throughout the Northwest Territories.

This annual event honors the beauty and significance of Canada’s national, provincial, and territorial parks, while encouraging visitors to appreciate the country's stunning natural landscapes and diverse ecosystems. Many territorial parks offer family-friendly activities, including educational programs, cultural events and BBQ's at our parks and historic sites. Be sure to follow us on social media for updates on where to enjoy this season’s Parks Day celebrations!
