60th Parallel Territorial Park

Located along NWT Hwy. 1, at the NWT/ Alberta border the 60th Parallel Territorial Park is a great place to stop, stretch your legs and get a first taste of what the North has to offer. Stop in to the Parks Visitor Centre to see the local wildlife and art displays and meet the centre's friendly staff who are available to welcome you.

The Visitor Information Centre is open from mid-May to mid-September (from 8 am to 8 pm). Brochures, maps, camping permits, a pay phone, drinking water, washrooms and fresh coffee are available to visitors. Aboriginal arts and crafts are on display in the centre. Audiovisual presentations depict the northern way of life and what you might expect to see on your travels in the NWT. Come in and have a cup of coffee while you take a short break.
