NWT TRAVEL - WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE PLANNING TO VISIT
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, visitors who do not have an exemption under the public health order, or have not been granted one for exceptional circumstances, are not allowed to travel within the Northwest Territories.
Upon entry into the NWT individuals must mandatorily self-isolate and stay at home or in an isolation centre for 14 days in one of the following communities; Yellowknife, Inuvik, Hay River or Fort Smith only. People arriving into the Territory cannot self-isolate in a small community or other regional centre other than the four listed communities, if they have returned from outside the NWT.
Before planning to travel in the NWT all visitors and leisure travellers are advised to visit the Government of Northwest Territories Website, for the current information and restrictions regarding travel.
